Podcast Rules and Policies
Podcast Rules and Policies
-
Nature of the Podcast
-
Conversational Format: The Joseph Brooks Podcast is designed for meaningful, conversational exchanges between Joseph Brooks and the guest. It is not a formal interview solely focused on the guest. Guest do not make the rules (that also includes your team or your manager). Your management is your own and your team is your own - they will not be deciding how our show is conducted.
-
Equal Platform: Joseph Brooks, a music producer, singer, songwriter, pianist, and artist, is an active participant in the discussion. Guests should treat him as an equal partner, not solely as an interviewer.
-
-
Balance of Participation
-
Equal Speaking Time: Conversations are structured to provide both host and guest equal opportunities to share their thoughts. Guests are encouraged to engage Joseph by asking about his experiences.
-
Guest Engagement: This is a collaborative discussion, not a platform for self-promotion or one-sided dialogue.
-
-
Guest Suggestions
-
Topics and Questions: Guests may suggest topics or questions for discussion, but final decisions are at Joseph Brooks' discretion. Inclusion of suggestions is not guaranteed.
-
-
Show Control
-
Host Authority: All podcast rules, structure, and creative direction are determined by Joseph Brooks.
-
Guest Role: Guests are contributors to the discussion, not producers.
-
Creative Control: Decisions regarding editing, lighting, color correction, and post-production are solely Joseph’s responsibility. Guests have no involvement in these processes.
-
Posting Schedule and Content Selection: Joseph decides the release schedule and selects promotional clips.
-
-
Content Ownership
-
Relinquishment of Rights: By participating, guests relinquish any rights to the recorded content.
-
Ownership: All podcast content, including audio, video, and related materials, is owned by Joseph Brooks.
-
Usage Rights: Joseph reserves the right to use the content for promotional, marketing, or distribution purposes at his discretion.
-
-
Collaboration on Social Media
-
Instagram Collaboration: Guests will be invited to collaborate on Instagram posts once created. The decision on which clips or posts to use is solely Joseph’s.
-
-
Guest Contribution
-
Promotion and Editing Costs: Guests must contribute $50 upfront to cover content promotion and editing. This ensures high-quality production and reach for the podcast.
-
-
Agreement to Policies
-
Mandatory Agreement: Guests who do not agree to these policies cannot participate in the podcast.
-
Implied Consent: Participation implies consent to these policies and acknowledgment of Joseph Brooks' authority over the podcast’s direction, editing, and content usage.
-
-
Content Reuse by Guests
-
Permission for Use: Guests are welcome to use the final uploaded episode to create their own content, such as TikToks, Reels, or other social media posts.
-
Clip Selection for Red Velvet Studios: All clips and posts shared on the Red Velvet Studios social media pages are solely decided by Joseph Brooks and his team. Guests have no input into which clips are chosen for these platforms.
-
Independent Posting: Guests who wish to post clips on their own profiles are free to do so but must handle the editing and posting themselves. Guests should not request clips from Joseph or the Red Velvet Studios team, nor ask for editing services for their personal use.
-
-
Professional Conduct
-
Mutual Respect: Guests must respect the host’s leadership and vision for the podcast.
-
Collaborative Interaction: Discussions should be balanced, engaging, and free of dominance or excessive self-promotion.
-
-
Guest Preparation
-
Topic Familiarity: Guests must be prepared to engage in meaningful discussions.
-
Time Commitment: Guests must set aside three hours for uninterrupted participation in the recording.
-

-
Instagram Collaboration: Guests are required to accept at least four Instagram collaboration invitations as part of their participation.
-
Fee Payment: The $50 fee for editing and promotional costs must be paid upfront before recording begins.
-
-
