How We Work
Production & Collaboration Guidelines
🎵 Exclusive In-House Production Team – To maintain consistency and brand quality, artists must work exclusively with our in-house producers, engineers, and creative team.
🎵 Collaboration Approval – Requests to work with external producers, engineers, or artists must be approved by the label.
🎵 Label-Approved Features – Artists may only collaborate with label-approved artists to ensure alignment with our brand and quality standards.
Artist Financial Responsibilities
What Artists Are Expected to Cover
💰 Minimum Production Requirement – Artists must complete at least 10 songs per year with the label.
💰 Production Agreement – Artists must sign a production agreement and pay required fees at the start of their contract.
💰 Producer & Engineer Fees – While we provide access to our in-house team, artists must cover producer, mixing, and mastering costs.
💰 Ad Campaigns & Marketing Budget – Artists fund their own promotional campaigns, with our team providing guidance and strategy support.
💰 Content Creation Responsibility – Artists are expected to actively create and post content to grow their presence.
💰 Artists Must Have Their Own Budget – Artists are responsible for their production costs and ad budgets, with our consulting ensuring the best return on investment.
Do You Offer Signing Bonuses or Advances?
At Mid City Music Group, we do not provide signing bonuses, loans, or advances upon signing like Major labels do. Instead, we offer artists an extensive range of services and professional guidance to help them grow and establish a strong foundation for their careers. Artist are responsible for covering there own production and ad budgets. Our focus is on long-term success and sustainability, rather than short-term financial incentives and artist development. By working with us, artists gain the structure, expertise, and industry connections needed to build a lasting music career.

🎤 Recording Guidelines
To maintain a high standard of quality, we may require that your vocal sessions be recorded with a designated engineer or at a specific location. When this guidance is given, it is important to follow it, as these decisions are made to benefit your music and overall success.

• 📂 Final Masters & Session Files – The Artist will not receive access to the final masters or session files until the production is complete and officially approved by the Label. This ensures that the final product meets professional industry standards before release.
• 💰 Upfront Producer Fee – Every production under the Label requires an upfront producer fee. This covers the time, expertise, and resources necessary to create high-quality music.
• 🎵 Royalty Ownership – The Label retains partial royalty ownership on all productions. This helps us continue investing in your music, brand, and long-term career growth.
